Today we are shipping the biggest single expansion of the BuildPilot guide library since we launched. Nine new pillar guides for build types Adelaide families genuinely search for, plus 45 supporting how-to pages that go deeper on the questions the pillars raise but cannot fully answer.
This post is a single index. Every pillar, every cluster, one page of anchor links, so you can jump straight to whatever build path applies to your project.
Why this expansion, and why now
Over the last twelve months we have watched real search intent through Google Search Console and our own site data. Three patterns kept surfacing.
Real Adelaide families do not search for "custom builder." They search for narrow block builder, character home renovation, duplex builders, bushfire BAL rated. The intent is specific and the answer needs to be specific.
Pillar pages get people through the door. Cluster pages close the loop. A single 10-step pillar guide can frame a topic, but the questions that follow ("how do I actually get planning approval for that extension in NPSP?", "what does BAL-40 mean for my window choices?") need their own long-form answers.
Full-web internal linking beats keyword stuffing every time. A pillar that links to five clusters, each of which links back to the pillar and to four siblings, tells Google that this is a topical authority hub, not a lonely landing page. That is the framework we have built.
Editorial standards, non-negotiable
Every one of the 45 new pages was written from scratch by the BuildPilot editorial team. No AI slop, no rehashed marketing copy from builder brochures, no em-dashes anywhere on the site. Ranges where honest cost signalling matters, but no hard dollar figures we cannot stand behind. Australian English, Adelaide-specific councils and legislation (PlanSA, Consumer & Business Services SA, HomeStart, the Country Fire Service, AS 3959, NCC 2025), brand-neutral throughout.
Every page carries the reviewed date and links to the parent pillar. Every claim is traceable. Where the specialist trade pool is small (heritage stonemasons, Passivhaus certifiers, BAL-40 builders) we say so honestly.
The nine new pillars, and their five clusters each
Each pillar has its own 10-step framework, FAQs and a "Deep dives" section that links out to the five supporting how-tos below. Every cluster is a stand-alone long-form guide of 1,200 to 1,500 words with HowTo, Article, FAQ and Breadcrumb structured data.

Where the library is going next
The 45 new clusters push us to 20 pillar guides and 45 supporting how-tos, all cross-linked into a single topical authority hub for Adelaide residential building. The immediate next steps in the roadmap are E-E-A-T author credentials on every pillar, a modal consolidation that unifies our three overlapping call-to-action flows, and an admin analytics dashboard that lets partners see live search intent by cluster.
If you want to see the whole library organised the way most people actually think about their project (New Build, Renovate & Add-to, Specialist), the reorganised Guides hub is the fastest way in.
Independent, brand-neutral, one on one
Every one of these guides ends the same way: with an invitation to book a private 30-minute call. That is not a lead capture. BuildPilot is a genuinely independent advisor and every partnered builder we shortlist you against has been vetted for real recent work in the specific niche you are looking at. If your project is a narrow-block two-storey infill in Prospect, we do not send you a list of volume builders who mostly build on greenfield estates in Angle Vale.
Start with the pillar closest to your project. Read the five clusters underneath it. Then talk to us when you are ready.
