Fall explained in detail
Slope, in the drainage sense. A pipe, a shower floor, a paved area or a gutter needs fall so water runs the right way. Plumbers talk about "1 in 60 fall" or "20mm fall to the waste". No fall means puddles. Wrong fall means water toward the house.
