"Rough-in inspection passed, plasterers are booked."
The first pass of a service trade, done once the frame is up and before the plaster goes on. The sparky runs cables, the plumber runs pipes, the aircon crew runs ducts. Everything is left poking out of the frame to be finished later. Sometimes written rough in or roughing in.
Common questions about rough-in
Yes, but it costs. Once plaster is on, moving a point means cutting and patching. Walk the frame with your sparky before rough-in and mark every point with tape. Most builders allow an electrical walk-through for exactly this reason.
