About Onebed
Onebed is an Australian sleep brand that sells its mattresses direct, so you get premium materials without the showroom markup. The range spans three mattresses, the Essential, the Original 11 inch and the Max hybrid, plus an adjustable bed frame, pillows, a mattress topper, a waterproof protector, sheets and a duvet.
Onebed has been named Mattress of the Year five times on ProductReview and now has more than 30,000 customers across Australia. Every mattress ships compressed in a box with free delivery to most areas, a 125 night home trial and a 10 year warranty, and you buy and check out directly on the Onebed website.
Who it suits
Onebed suits anyone setting up a bedroom who wants a well-reviewed mattress delivered to the door without a showroom trip. It is a strong fit when you are moving into a new home and need a mattress that ships compressed up tight hallways or stairs, with a long home trial so you can judge the feel where you actually sleep.
How to choose a mattress
Get the size right for the room
A Queen suits most main bedrooms from about 3.0m by 3.4m; a King needs roughly 3.3m of clear wall. Measure the room and the doorway first, because a built base is far harder to move than a boxed mattress.
Match the mattress to how you sleep
The Essential is a firmer, great-value foam mattress; the Original adds adjustable firmness and zoned support; the Max is a premium hybrid with springs for extra airflow and support. Side sleepers and couples usually want zoning and low motion transfer.
Use the home trial
A two-minute lie-down in a showroom tells you little. A 125 night home trial lets you judge the mattress across real nights, which is the most reliable way to confirm the feel.
Protect it from night one
A breathable, waterproof protector keeps a new mattress clean and is usually required to keep the warranty valid. Add one before the first night.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a trial period on an Onebed mattress?
Yes. Every Onebed mattress comes with a 125 night home trial and a 10 year warranty, so you can judge the feel across real nights at home rather than a quick lie-down in a showroom.
How is an Onebed mattress delivered?
It ships compressed in a box with free delivery to most areas of Australia. The boxed format makes it easy to move up tight hallways or stairs in a new home.
What is the difference between the Essential, Original and Max?
The Essential is a firmer, great-value foam mattress, the Original 11 inch adds adjustable firmness and zoned support, and the Max is a premium hybrid with springs for extra airflow and support. All come in every Australian size.
Do I buy from Onebed or from BuildPilot?
You buy and check out directly on the Onebed website. BuildPilot links to Onebed and may earn a commission, which never changes the price you pay.
